Antalya


1st Day – 31 October 2025

Arrival in Antalya and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure.


2nd Day – 01 November 2025

09.00 pick up from Antalya hotels and start sightseeing in Antalya, including visiting the Old Town Port, Roman City Walls, Yivli Minaret, Hadrian’s Gate and Antalya. Then drive to Side, a well-preserved ancient city with ruins dating back to Hellenistic and Roman periods. Continue driving to Aspendos, one of the most well-preserved Roman Theaters of the world which is still hosting concerts and ballet performances annually in August during the Aspendos Festival.

On the way back to Antalya call in another ancient city, Perge, which is famous for its monumental gateway decorated with statues of the donors of the city.

Return to Antalya. Overnight in Antalya.


3rd Day – 02 November 2025

After breakfast, visit the Antalya Archaeological Museum. Then drive north through the Western Taurus Mountains. First visit the ruins of Thermessos, a small inner Pamphylian ancient town situated on a steep hill with a fascinating view. The history of the city goes back to the 8th century BC when the native Anatolian Luwian people established the city fortifying with strong walls which had given a hard time for Alexander the Great to conquer the city.

Then continue driving to Pamukkale. Upon arrival check in your hotel in Pamukkale.

1st Day – 6 November 2025

After breakfast, drive south. On the way, stop at Kızılcabölük, which is famous for embroidery and towels woven in small workshops by the villagers. Then continue visiting Ula, which is one of the enlisted slow-cities of Turkey; the town proudly bears a very rich cultural heritage with its well-preserved traditional architecture.

Then arrive in Akyaka, a natural phenomenon with its unusually beautiful water springs, streams, and fresh water fish. Visit Azmak Springs and take a boat ride to the Gökova Bay, visiting the Sedir Island with ruins dating back to Hellenistic times.

Overnight in Akyaka.


2nd Day – 7 November 2025

After breakfast, transfer back to Denizli Airport for departure flights. If possible, please arrange your return flight from Dalaman Airport in order to avoid a long haul back-tracking to Denizli Airport.

 

Laodicea – Aphrodisias – Şirince – Ephesus – Selçuk

1st Day – 6 November 2025

After breakfast check out and start driving to Laodicea, an ancient city dating back to the 3rd century BC, built by Antiochus II and named after his wife Laodike. It is also a biblical town by housing one of the seven churches of Western Anatolia and also an epistle by St. Paul the Apostle addressing the faithful people of the city. If the group is lucky enough, Prof. Celal Şimşek, the head of the excavations of the site from Pamukkale University, will give a brief introduction about the excavations and restorations of the ruins.

Then continue driving to Aphrodisias, one of the best well-preserved Roman cities of the Caria region, famous for its sculptures made by the sculptors who were trained in the Aphrodisias School.

Late afternoon drive to Şirince to visit the well-preserved village with its unique Turco-Greek civic architecture.

Overnight in Şirince or Kuşadası.


2nd Day – 7 November 2025

Day to explore the most fascinating Greco-Roman city of Ephesus. Before visiting the ruins, first give a call at Mother Mary’s House, which is supposed to be the house of Virgin Mary after her refuge to Anatolia with Saint John the Evangelist. It was declared by Pope Paul VI as a pilgrimage site for believers.

Then start visiting the ruins of Ephesus from the upper gate and end up at the lower gate. As you stroll through the main streets, you will be observing the monumental edifices such as the Hadrian’s Temple, Trajan’s Temple, the mosaic pavements of the Aristocratic Houses, the State and Commercial Agoras, as well as the Celsus Library and the spectacular Amphi-Theater with a capacity of 20,000 spectators.

After visiting the ruins, drive to Selçuk, pointing to the site of the Temple of Artemis, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Most of its parts are on display in the British Museum today.

After visiting the St. John’s Basilica-Church, give a call at the Ephesus Museum in Selçuk to see the most famous statue of Artemis, the fertility goddess of Asia Minor.

Return to your hotel for farewell dinner and overnight.


3rd Day – 8 November 2025

Transfer to Izmir Airport for your departure flight.
